ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Chris' Volkswagon Parts opened it's doors in 1981 as a new and used parts supplier for the local area of Whittier, California. Soon it was clear that many of the customers needed their parts installed, so a repair facility was created and was an immediate success.

Soon, more and more cars were being dismantled and the local city officials had lost their sense of humor about a wrecking yard on the main street. During this time, Chris had begun hunting N.O.S. parts and buying out businesses that were closing.

With space a major concern, the decision was made to look in outlying areas. The perfect opportunity arose with a VW wrecking yard for sale in Hesperia, California. After the purchase, which included 180 cars, the decision to close the repair end of the business was made. With Chris constantly traveling, John, Chris' older brother, took over managing the Wrecking Yard.

About two years ago, the local Volkswagen parts store was closing and rather than see this happen, Chris purchased the inventory and reopened the store. Jim Bangs was hired as the store manager. He has worked in the industry for over thirty years, with such companies as the original Empi, Econo Motors and Save A Bug. Jim is a great asset to the company and to you. About a year later, "Small Car Connection" was moved to the same location as the Wrecking Yard.

At the new parts store we are distributors for Bugpack, Empi, West Coast Metric and Scat, and our air-cooled inventory alone is over $200,000.00.  We also stock a great deal of both new and used parts for water cooled Volkswagens. These inventories are constantly changing as Chris buys out both small independents and Volkswagen Dealerships.

!!Recently Chris has purchased two very large Yards of air cooled vehicles. It ranges in excess of 600 more cars and thousands of parts added to our inventory!!

As a new tool for the Internet we have purchased a digital camera. This enables you, the customer, to see either the New, Used or N.O.S. Part before it is shipped!!!
